Hi ReligionUnplugged readers,
Patheos â a website dedicated to global discussion of religion â recently began what they call the âSacred Spaces Initiative,â a list of the top 100 holy sites on earth. The sites are being released 10 at a time, the final set to be announced the week of August 15.
The sites honor multiple world religions and comprise a large portfolio of places globally. ReligionUnplugged intern Rafa Oliveira spoke to Travis Henry, senior director of content at Patheos, about the initiative.
âWe are hoping to create a library of sacred spaces where you can drop in and say âOK, this is where I can learn as much as possible about this place without visiting it,ââ Henry said.
Check out todayâs top story to learn how Patheos calculated the outcome of the list and more about the sites that have been released so far.
