The Catholic site draws pilgrims dedicated to prayer

The Subukia Marian Shrine is tucked away in the mountains of the Kenyan Rift Valley. This forested spot is close to the tourist spot of the Earth’s equator just five miles away and is lauded for its beauty and tranquility, but its significance far exceeds these things.
The water which flows from this site is believed to be miraculous, and has believed to be so since its discovery in 1991. In today’s top story, Kenyan journalist Joseph Maina reports on the history of the site as well as some of the documented miracles and the belifs of many surrounding the holiness of the water.
